Prds – Mil 63000 Desuperheater

PRDS System is used to reduce the steam pressure to required operating pressure & to reduce steam temperature closure to saturation temperature.

Conventionally the pressure reduction & temperature reduction is done in two different units.

  • Unit in which only pressure reduction is done, is called as PRESSURE REDUCTION STATION (PRS)
  • Unit in which only temperature reduction is done, is called as DESUPERHEATING STATION (DSH Station)
  • Both units combined, called as PRESSURE REDUCTION & DESUPERHEATING STATION (PRDS Station)
  • Desuperheater- MIL 63000
